I think it would of ruined her character. Petunia is so proud to be normal and is so horriable to Harry because she is jelouse that she was left out. Her parents thought Lily was special and that made Petunia even more jelouse and bitter. I doubt Petunia would of married Vernon. I think Petunia would of loved Harry and spoiled him like she does Dudley. So harry would of turned out like Dudley. Now that would be horriable.

The whole point behind Harry staying with his aunt and uncle was that it was a safe place for him to be hidden until he came of age for Hogwarts. Petunia wouldn't have been living a muggle existence if she had gone to Hogwarts with Lily and therefore Harry's history would have been altered drastically.

Well, in my opinion I don't think Harry would of changed that much. He probably would just ignore his Aunt Petunia and go about his business. If he had her for a teacher I guess he would just try and learn and maybe a couple of pranks would be played. Other than that nothing out of the ordinary.

It was obvious that Petunia had the 'hots' for young Severus Snape, if she had of made it to Hogwarts she would have been in Slytherin - went out with Snape (Lily didnt want him), probably married him and been a Death-Eater to boot!!!

Harry's life would have been 10 times worse!

I think Harry would be not be as modest as he is because he would have grown up being worshipped and would have grown used to it. I think he would have ended up like Draco Malfoy, thinking he is better than everyone else because he is The Boy that Lived. Also, Petunia would have treated him alot better as the only reason she was ever bad to him was because she was so jealous of the fact that Lily was a witch and she wasn't.

I think things would be way different. First, she wouldn't have married Vernon. Second, there would be no Dudley. Third, she would most likely she would live in a different house. Four, she and Lily wouldn't be so distant from each other.
Five, if Lily had died then Petunia would have treated Harry better.
That's about all I can think of.

Harry's childhood would have been much easier and he wouldn't have developed the strength of character he needed quite so early.

A child who is loved, indulged and protected does not develop strong character without adversity (either economic or social). That is one reason the current generation of American children have the odds stacked against them. They grow up and join the work force without even having learned to clean their own homes. They are used to having money handed to them for just being alive. Children from poor working families actually have an advantage today.

Think he'd basically be the same. But his life at Privet Drive during the holidays would have been much easier with someone who understands him around.

i don't really think it would have afected harry that much, but those 11 years and those summers would have been a lot easier for him if she understood their world. also, i don't think she would have married vernon and there would be no bratty dudley.
