I'm 20 and have a girlfriend who i love and is a nice women, but at times she throws mood swings out of no where over the smallest things and sometimes after having a mood swing she will say sorry to me but will still do it later again. i like her but i told her i dont like it when she is in these moods. I mean yeah theres that time of month but she does this it seems almost every day.

She sleeps alot (and at strange times of the day), eats fast when she does, gets headaches, gets jealous easily sometimes, can be controling and takes some medication i dont know of except i know they are not bad drugs that you take at partys or anything but i know she takes the pill and pain killers etc.

Maybe this could be partly to do with her growing up and hormones playing a role (she is almost 20), or her past e.g. her parents breaking up about 5 years ago, or could this be some kinda disease thats making her behave this way?

I dont mean to be nosey im just concerned for her

If it happens during times she is NOT having or going to have her period, it is not just PMS that she is suffering from.

I'd really think and write down why you like and not like being with her and choose accordingly.

Sounds like she might be depressed or on the wrong kind of birth control for herself. I used to be on Ortho TriCyclen in college and I was moody with headaches and ultra jealous. I used to cry during sad commercials or things that didn't even matter. I went off it after my boyfriend left me, and I was fine. I was on Ortho TriCyclen Lo (same medicine but a much lower dose of horomones) for 5 years and I was great, and now just started a different birth control (Seasonique) and continue to be fine. Birth control horomones can effect your mood quite a bit though. Good luck.

A lot of times birth control makes women like this. She might just need to change brands. Yaz did this to me, and once I switched I was fine again.
