I don't feel sorry for these people because most of them know it's not true. By saying this they hope to slander liberals with the negative perception that socialism has. The people who continually say this, are usually the ones who have done research that they realized contradicted what they wanted to believe about all liberals being socialists. But it didn't stop them from lying about it.
They are stupid for a different reasons. One of those reasons is that they don't have enough intelligence to realize that lying to achieve what they believe is a "truthful" outcome only makes the world worse.

I'm ACTUALLY a socialist -- getting classed with these liberal wimps bothers me.
And "crying wolf" where everyone a hair to the right is a "Nazi" is going to get us all in trouble when real fascists make their play for power in the U.S.
Besides which, it's a sign of the ignorance that our rulers encourage -- it's easier to push us around when we don't understand what's going on.

Radical liberalism is socialism. If you deny that, then you need to look at the most radical liberals...Hill-d-beast, Kennedy, Pelosi. PURE SOCIALISTS!
andy...I voted for Bush twice, too, but he has become quite liberal in many ways. ie passively fighting a war, spending worse than most liberals, and immigration policy.
reds...go to a socialist country and stop trying to screw ours up.

No. I don't feel sorry for them. They are trying to tweak, twist, spin,etc. words into whatever suits their own agenda. Why do we bother printing dictionaries if no one uses them?
