For younger fans who don't know who he was he was the first MLB Commisioner ever. He was a no nonesense Commisioner who did everythign he could to clean up the game after the Black Sox Scandal of 1919. How do you think he wouldv'e handle the situation with Barry Bonds & all the other players who have used steroids?

He would have handled it the way it should have been handled. He would have made it illegal to use PEDs. One time caught: ban for life. As for those who took it before his rule, he would have grandfathered it out. Come forward now and admit you've taken it, and we will test your blood without banning you but if your levels ever go UP, you're banned for life.

Selig and the Players' Union and all of their members combined don't have two balls between them and couldn't care less about the fans at all. But Landis would have slapped the chalk off of his hands and said, "That's it!"

It is hard to really say but I really believe he would have tackled this whole issue head on. it is difficult today to get very much accomplished because of the players union but I doubt he would put up with them either. In my readings as to how Landis handled most issues I believe the whole situation would be better off under his leadership than it is now.

Half the MLB would've been suspended indefinitely by now.
