YES! And with this new "Bee" movie coming out and the Singing Bee show on TV I've just about had it. I get terrified just hearring the word! I see even cartoon bees on the Nasonex commercials and I get goosebumps. I'm so glad it's fall because the bees start to go away. I won't even leave my car windows open - not even on the hottest day because I'm afraid they'll get in there...........all this bee talk......YIKES!

"Afraid" isn't exactly the word I'd use. I mean, it's not pleasant having a bee or wasp hovering around me, but I don't start freaking out about it like some people do. The worst that can happen is they sting you, which hurts, but it's not the end of the world. Unless, of course, you're allergic. Then it could very well be the end of the world!

No, they generally leave you alone if you leave then alone, though the yellow jackets get a bit close if you have food. Lesson here: if yellow jackets are around and you have an open can of soda, be careful. A guy I knew took a drink and got stung in the mouth by one that got in the can. Ever watch one try to lift off with food too heavy to carry?-pretty funny!

YES, as a kid, 10 or so, I was riding my bike through a path and I stirred up a nest of yellow jackets. They swarmed me and stung me all over, even inside my T shirt. I went to a nearby gas station and an elderly man there picked them off me, probably several dozen. It was so painful and scarey. However, I do believe I am not allergic to bee stings because of it.

Absolutely terrified!! I actually ran screaming and dove under a fallen tree to get away from one. This was in front of the person grading my Social Work clinicals. To any one who plans to let us know that "stings don't hurt that much." Most of us know that. I'm not exactly scared of the sting.

Nope...I'm the one at cookouts who will be sitting stock still while a bee is buzzing around my head and everyone else is screaming and/or running.

They don't bother you if you don't bother them. Just sit still, they'll fly away!
