aaaah... today was one of those days again... :S I stayed at work until ...uhm.... 21:45? How's that for working overtime?
The good thing is that I like what I do and I dont brag about staying late at work, or working overtime..
The best thing is that I can get paid for working overtime... $$$ :):):)
Most of the times though it's not worth it... Think of all the stress and pressure and the workload that forces you to stay there, the frustration of the deadlines, etc... I would trade that for a cup of coffee next to the sea, under a wintry sun... :)

As a teacher in today's world ... I have no choice. I spend so much time outside of work trying to find new ways to help my kids learn and feel successful in the crazy, mixed up educational priorities of "test results" and "scores".
I went into this job to make a difference, however, so that's what I intend to do. Regardless of the fact that the pay is pathetic and we never receive any extra pay for all the hours of OT we really do work ... it is all worth it when I see a student full of pride because they finally "get it" or when they come back later on and thank me for making a difference in their lives. Their is no amount of money that could replace that feeling ... and no amount of overtime that could keep me from it.
Peace to you ...

Yes, there is always one more thing to do. Always one more quote to write. One more phone call to make.
I guess it has to do with the inability to delegate.
I am single, so what am i suppose to do go home and sit there by myself.
I have never punched a time clock. I own the company now, so what to do, it is an addiction.

I don't really have a fixed timetable for my line of work. (See username.)
Often I spend a couple of days with a client - on a yacht, in a penthouse suite, wherever as long as it's nice and clean. Sometimes an appointment can last weeks. It depends on the client's preference and my availability, mostly. And on my boss.

ALWAYS. Even on week-ends... And when I actyally can stay at home, I find myself the excuse that my pitbul, which leaves in my office, needs to go out, so I speed up there, take Pit for a walk and then stay there, practicing and enjoying my workaholicness....

Always, but it isn't because I'm a model employee. I sell cars and you leave when you can manage
