I don't think that it serves to stereo-type single parents at all!!! I know several kids (including my own) that sometimes get crusty!!! and they all live in 2 parent homes. I do think some kids could be cleaned up better while they are in public. But as I read this question I looked over at my 2 year old and she has a crusty face!! LOL she is still wearing some of her chocolate cake from her lunch, and thats okay, kids get dirty!

Running around with crusty faces?! OMG!! That drives me INSANE! The humanity!
No. I see a kid with a crusty face and I think "what the heck?! That face is crusty! Those parents must be meth heads or deadbeats!"
Seriously, a crusty face is nothing more than cosmetic. It's a far cry from neglect, abuse, or even laziness. In fact, I think it's more deplorable that a person would have violent thoughts toward a person because their child's face was crusty. Sure, all neglectful parents will have a messy faced kid, but not all messy faced kids have neglectful parents. Having violent thoughts about it is like having violent thoughts about somebody for wearing white after labor day or not folding socks properly.

Have a bad run in with a parent like that today? I agree it does give a bad impression. Poor kid imagine what they go through. It also bugs me when they little their kid run around without a care in the world. Seriously watch your child. Open your eyes and pay attention!

Yeah I really want to. I hate how people can just leave their children running around with i don't even want to know on their faces and I hate it even more when I see children running across roads with no supervision, or running down the middle of a street, the world is not a nice place and children can't even defend themselves properly.

sometimes yea. I was just at a wedding where a couple let their 2 year old daughter run around in a wet poppy diaper for hours and run around the whole place wild. she ended up knocking over the cake table and the cake with it.NO body even got a piece yet or had the cake cutting ceremony. They didn't even seem to care.

that's yyaakkii!!! hope they don't carry any virus. lol! anyways we can't blame the parents that maybe they are so busy with their jobs and also can't afford a nanny services. Tired after the days work that almost no more time to attain to their kids cleanliness.
It is really annoying but we can't step into their lives to tell them what to do.

basically a grand finished of two times. My mom and dad have been very truthful, person-friendly going, and found early on that an all-day lecture replace right into a greater effectual punishment. those 2 cases although I had extremely long previous above and previous their final nerve to earn them.

It bothers me that there are children who are neglected and unloved. I do not understand how that can possibly be. My children are my world....and yes, I am with you....on slapping them. Realize though it is not only single parents...I have seen couples that allow that to happen and it turns my stomach they show no more care toward their gifts from God.
Peace.

i get more annoyed by parents who dont watch their kids in public places - they let them run around in the street, parking lots, malls, etc
what the hell is wrong with people to think that this is actually alright
