It seems to me most people are voting on the first answer to get points & not reading further down at other answers. Some really stupid answers are getting the most votes cause they answered first, it's so not fair.
Do you vote for the best or just the first answer to get points quicker?

I dont do it very often hun, unless I had a whole string of stupid violations and need to earn some quick and easy points!
But I do read all the answers, why I figure it is if someone has taken the time to write and answer the least I can do is read it and vote based on what I think is best answer, same when I post a question I always read the answers, and thumbs up them, picking what I think is best answer! But I know what you mean about picking the first answer...! Not fair really may be YaPhoo ought spend time sorting that instead of issuing stupid violations!

If I'm going to take the time to vote, I read them all. Many times I've voted for Answer #27 or 13... If I click on one that has some answers that take up a solid 10 inches of space each and I don't feel like reading all that, I just don't vote in that question.

If I vote on them, then I have read them all. If there are way too many to read and I get bored, I don't vote. I agree the earlier answers get the votes. I believe many people read until they come across a good answer and then vote for that one instead of reading further.

It depends. Most of the time I keep reading till I find a good answer. But I have been know to just choose whichever one. Esp. if the question and the answer is too long.

I agree that people often just vote the first answer, even if it's a silly or rude answer... It's hard for me to answer because I don't usually vote answers for undecided questions...
But it's even more common for people to vote for their OWN answer... ^_^

I do look at all the answers and sometimes wont vote if I like none of them or don't see any that are very good which is rare but it happens.
