I work for a lawyer and he did take the day off - sorry for the spelling error I left my brain at home this morning.

also I am a mother of two kids and that is a 24/7 job. I'd like a day off when my kids were off too so I could spend time with them.

I have every day off. ;) And I'm surprised you are a lawyer when you didn't spell off correctly. Most attorneys are much more detail oriented. And is that a question "Lawyers never close?". If so then they may never close but they love to spend part of their day just "talking" and pretending they are working.

"Be happy ---you have a job!!!"

I am 22 years old. I am going to Grad School full-time. I am working about 40 hours a week. Recently, I talked to my parent about my life. I said, " I have to work this weekend" I wanted my parent to commend me, but they did not get my point.

Do you know why they did not get my point? ---my parent work every weekend. My parents work over 70 hours per week for over 30 years. They have 2-3 days off per year. Irony, they have never complained.

I've never had that day off. I think that it's for overworked state and federal employees as well as bank employees.
