My laptop broke, and I want to know which laptops are good. I really, really think a tablet would be cool, and I was leaning towards the HP tablet. But everyone says the sony viao is really good and now i can't choose. Please give your opinion! Btw, its for school and entertainment purposes.

I would stay away from Sony. The office I work in bought 4 of these one time. One laptop has been fixed twice for wireless problems only to use a PCMCIA card slot now for wireless connectivity. Another had to be reinstalled after 6 months and so on. Dell is still selling XP on laptops and should you get a laptop with Vista, make sure you maximize the ram. You will want at least 2 gb.

I just bought an Acer with Vista Home Premium and upgraded the ram to 2gb.

It does quite fine and I couldnt beat the price for all that came with it. I received it in 3 days. My old laptop was an Acer AMD Sempron with 512mb of ram, XP Pro, 60gb hard drive and I had it for 2 years before it was stolen, but it would smoke my Dell pentium 4 with a 1gb of ram for lunch. I loved XP Pro, but I am determined due to my job to learn Vista.

I agree with the other user, find a laptop that has Vista on it, it will make things so much easier.

What you heard about the Sony VAIO is correct, that laptop is a great piece of work; quick, efficient, compatible, everything you would want. For school and entertainment purposes? It can handle both of those, but for school I would think you would have to purchase Office 2007 or something like it.

Its greater effectual to get a drawing pill for drawing because of the fact it replace into stress sensitivity and greater advantageous stuff that a sprint reveal screen on a pill computing device would not have. If youre only gonna use it for undemanding drawings in microsoft paint, get a pill computing device. If youre extremely into drawing on a working laptop or computing device, get a drawing pill.

Only get one with XP on it, Vista on tablet is like watching a 90 year old man running the marathon.
