My computer indicates that I have several viruses. I purchased a software cleaner called Registry Defender. When I started to install it I got spooked because I got an alert asking If I was sure I wanted to enter a space that was insecure or something like that. I am not computer smart. I can still use my computer but every time I sign on there is antispyware alert. HELP!!!

You can try a few different tools out there to clean it but be prepared to reinstall Windows.

Adaware is a good free one and so is Spybot Search and Destroy. AVG is a good free anti-virus.

Never use a registry cleaner. Just last week I saw two people asking what to do because they ran a registry cleaner and now their computer either wouldn't startup or wouldn't allow them to open any programs.
