I've been looking to buy some nail guns and a lot of them come in package deals of 3. Framing, finish and brad nailer. What's the difference between the 3 and what are they used for?

1 & 2 offer valid suggestions; BUT... narrowing your thought to "3 AND Popular"; denies you on some levels. Obviously ad HYPE contributes to choice; as well as experience.

You've been given the TYPES with regard to what they do. I use many; and singular in the mechanisms. No offense at all in a "package" I just find that having multiple tools allows minimal "switch over time"

Brads at some stated limit
Nails also at stated limits; but often needing more air pressure to DRIVE effectively.
Wide Crown/narrow crown staple guns
AIR far exceeds any electric

The issue however is also based on need and your intent in use. IE: if you're doing cove base/ window~Door trim~chair rail; you might not need more than ONE gun that allows both BRAD and/or Narrow crown staples. No real need to own a heavy "PORTER" (or other "Brand") manufactured for framing or roofing; to accomplish what you need.

Consider too that most tools; are in fact NOT strictly manufactured in the USA; and or are no less quality than those that are; because so many components are outsourced.

The better suggestion; or notion; might be to determine your need; in use; shop for THOSE that offer ease of operation, and multiple applications; while noting SERVICING/Parts replacement; after, or during the fact. If you break down and can't get it fixed; then it was never a bargain to begin with.
