Of LSU's remaining schedule, only 3 teams realistically have a shot to contest with LSU:

Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas

Which one, if any, has the chance to beat the Tigers of LSU? Granted, parity is present after the last two weekends of upsets, so heck, Ole' Miss could do it...but let's be realistic. ^lol^

*regular season schedule. Don't forget the SEC Championship game, which could spoil everything for the Tigers. Florida beat LSU, but gave the Tigers the game in the fourth quarter. Imagine if Tebow didn't throw the ball of Cornelius' head, creating an interception leading to the go-ahead score. Imagine if Florida had stopped LSU on any of those fourth downs. Those are a lot of ifs, but Florida vs. LSU on a neutral field in Atlanta should be a huge concern for Tigers fans.

So my answer is Florida stands a great chance of beating LSU this year (still). Hopefully Florida wins out, forcing a showdown in Atlanta this year. It will be one hell of a game with a lot riding on it.

It would be huge for the program. OSU hasnt really shown anything in the past couple of years outside of dominating lesser teams and losing to quality teams. This years schedule was probably the worst ever, with the Big 10 being really down in quality and having a very lukewarm OOC schedule. Unfortunately for college football for the second year in a row, a team playing in the NC will not be a true top 10 team and will get embarrased again. Oregon or LSU would completely dominate the bucknuts. BC wont make it. When you need the 4th quarter to beat at team that lost by 40 pts to LSU, you just arent NC material. I would really like to see an Oregon/LSU game. That would be a NC that the fans would love to see. Either team dominates OSU for the second year. Just goes to show that college football is massively political and that it really needs a playoff system in place. Of course that would mean a Big 10 team would never again play in the NC game.

Arkansas has a tough running game and it's the last game of the regular season. So if any team has a shot at beating LSU, I'd say it would be Arkansas.
LSU goes to Lexington this Saturday, but remember what South Carolina's defense did to Woodson? So, we can only guess what LSU's defense is going to do!
@ Alabama - This game might be closer than what people think. Might being the key word! Alabama has to play a perfect game for the "might" factor.
And do I really even have to say antyhing about Ole Miss....?

I don't think Kentucky's offense is any match for that smothering LSU defense. Auburn is a big surprise lately, but I don't think they'll be able to match speed with LSU. Alabama, I thought, might have been able to keep up, until I saw them play the last few weeks. What a shame. Arkansas has a great offense, but no defense, so LSU will light up the scoreboard on Arkansas.

You forgot about AUBURN. Until Sat. night, they were the only team able to beat Florida, both last year and this year. It is true that they got off to a rocky start, but they are playing good now. Other then Auburn, I would say Arkansas would be the next best bet. But I also personally feel that LSU will go undefeated this year.

LSU Rules

Hey Stonewall:::: Oklahoma could NOT, I repeat could NOT BEAT LSU in 2003, and they can NOT beat us this year either....And also hasn't the Sooner's ALREADY lost a game this year to a UNRANKED team???

Realistically?

LSU will fend off the 07 season upset trend and go undefeated.

If the Tigers can put 247 rushing yards on the Gators, who else is gonna stop em?

All three have a shot at beating them. Those 3 teams are not Stanford. They are big time football teams and if LSU does not execute, the chances of anyone of them beating the Tiger's is pretty good. That said, ain't none of them going to beat LSU this year. This is a team of destiny and apparently losing is not an option.

First I would like to say...That was the BEST football game I've ever been to. I've seen some good ones in Death Valley...but that game came in #1 on my list. I don't think that the Tigers are unbeatable...As everybody knows, anyone can step up and pull an upset...and the bulls-eye on our back just got bigger. I just hope we keep taking one game at a time. I tell you one team I don't want to play again...Florida, I don't think my heart can take another one like that anytime soon. You forgot to put Auburn on your list...

Geaux Tigers!!

LSU is going to need eyes on the back of their heads to avoid the upsets which are so common nowadays. Its a very real possibilty that LSU can go undefeated.
