on what they do or do not do. Is all of the news from that region really coming from legitimate sources, or is it being filtered through and added to by anti-iranian sources who simply want the United States to step in and bomb those people? and no, I am not on Ahmadinejad's side. But I did read a translation by AN Iranian and compared it to a translation by a US translator and there are significant differences in what each source says. Certain of Columbia students noticed that also. Why the hll can't our government just be HONEST about serious issues?
We look like fools sometimes.

Also why is it that when the president's ratings fall, all of a sudden some binLaden tape surfaces, we hear about it for a week or so, and then we hear no more about it?

I fear we have placed ourselves in a position where we are nearing that time when we fall on our own sword...

Thank u for yr very sensible question/comment. No, it is not your imagination. It's all about Israel, no matter how much they pretend about it. Iraq is not about WMD or any of those lies. The current warm up for Iran is about Israel and genocide. And that fake "Bin Laden" will continue to pop up each time Bush's rantings fall 'cos it serves the purpose.

Its your imagination, this country isn't exactly crazy about Jews or Israel, or maybe you've missed the daily derogatory dressing downs of Israel and Jewish people.
Its entirely possible that translations from different translators will be different. Think of how many ways were could take a sentence in English and explain it.
Just the use of a different adjective could slant a statement.
If Israel wanted to bomb Iran, it would.
I can't really think of why it is we would want to support Iran, I personally wish we could get out of the whole Middle East mess and just let them kill each other.
Israel can take care of itself.

Saudi Arabia, a US 'ally' and the world's most prolific exporter of radical Islam, also gains from a US invasion of Iran.

Isn't it strange that the US aligns itself with the Jews in Israel and the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia - two groups where members' lives revolve around religious fanaticism? Meanwhile, we invade the oil-rich Persian nations of Iraq and Iran, where the populations are moderate in comparison.

It's all about big business, I'm sorry to say.

No, I never think of Israel when I see news from Iran. Iran has no credibility in my eyes, it's run by lunatics. When ever you have a leader who thinks Holocaust didn't happen, Well, that's just insane.
PS..
I saw an early clip of him when he was leaving Iran to visit here. As he was leaving, he stopped and waved to a group in the crowd, they were holding banners and signs that said death to America. Later that was edited out.

The Iran Dictator needs to be taken out. Quickly.

"This regime, thanks to God, has lost the reason for its existence," Ahmadinejad told thousands at a Death to Israel pep rally in Tehran."

"Addressing a conference in Tehran on Wednesday, entitled "The World Without Zionism", Ahmadinejad said, "To those who doubt, to those who ask is it possible, or those who do not believe, I say accomplishment of a world without America and Israel is both possible and feasible." "

"To a cheering audience that at several points erupted with chants of "death to Israel, death to America, death to England,"

He wants nuclear power and already making enriched uranium the same kind for both nuclear power and nuclear warheads; but has no powerstations. Why liberals stand up for this guy I do not know why since he has gays executed or imprisoned. Keeps women covered up and controls them giving them no rights at all.

But even so, when show things like this it is just "republican conspiracies, or propaganda"!

As for the Bin Laden tapes. The last one was made by a former American who lived in California by the name of Adam Gadahn who recently converted to Islam soon following his joining of al-Qaeda. He is now known as Azzam the American and is the American culture consultant for Bin Laden so they know what the hot topics are. That is why Bin Laden's tape sounded so pro-liberal. But don't say anything like that either since it is as said before "republican conspiracy or propaganda"!

The United States view on Iran has nothing to do with Israel...it has to do with terrorists and thugs who invaded our embassy, sponsor state backed terrorism, shelter terrorists, have made it known that they want to see us destroyed.

Having Israel added to their hit list is one more reason to get rid of the mullahs and the puppet drwaf mouthpiece president from there.
