How about The Cardinal? Jim Harbaugh - Coach of the Year!
All that smack talk about USC being invincible is now a thing of the past. Parity has invaded college football, and no one is safe...not even the Trojans of Southern California.
National Championship - LSU versus Ohio State *or* Oklahoma. Thoughts?

Austin N is back: C'mon man! You can't just hop off the USC bandwagon b/c they lost! You gotta stick with 'em through thick and thin. I love Oklahoma, and while they lost to Colorado, I'm still cheering for OU. Cal will lose too, eventually. I actually have USC beating Cal in the PAC-10.

Woa woa! Back the truck up!
As much as I love OSU, they SHOULD NOT be in a national championship game. Granted, I have already called my travel agent and set some ground rules about flying my buns to New Orleans....(I wouldn't root against them if they went!), but seriously. Boeckman might be 23 years old, and a 7th year senior, but he's not ready for that type of play.
I'm thinking LSU c/s California.....
Am I the ONLY one who remembers that UCLA defeated USC at the end of the season last year?? Why isn't anyone talking about THAT?

I gotta say, if USC wins out, they still have a shot at the National Championship game. They only dropped to #10. That being said, they would need a lot of help. Cal is in a great position to be in the BCS title game, as is OSU, and even BC. It's anybody's game, figuratively speaking. One loss from any of those teams will give a boost to the other three. I can't wait to see how the BCS screws up the rankings this year.

Kosmo,
there is a looming Cal Bear team in the Bay Area that is worthy of consideration. Tedford (aka "Coach of the Year) has done quite a thing with that team and I for one think he would be a fine Coach pick for a storied program at either Michigan (my first choice for him if Les Miles isn't there next year) or Notre Dame. Les Miles is sure to be approached with the Michigan gig (as you know he was a player and later Asst. Coach under Bo Schembechler).
This coming from a USC guy who believes that 5 turnovers in the Stanford game should have been the catalyst to a much higher score for Stanford as opposed to the one point in the final minute of the game. Harbaugh is far from Coach of the Year, more like "Luckiest Coach of the Year".
I would have much more appreciated a question from you pertaining to why UCLA lost to Notre Dame at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena - thereby handing ND their first win of the season. UCLA only had a #11 ranking at the beginning of this season because of their own lack luster performance and lucky win over USC by a mere 4 points in 2006.

The best game possible would be OU vs. LSU. Think about it. Les Miles vs. Bob Stoops. While at Oklahoma State, Les Miles was able to get the best of Stoops twice, yet in their last appearance, Stoops' Sooners manhandled OSU. Les has a history about getting on the bad side of the Sooner Nation.

OU vs. LSU part deux. Harbaugh is my new hero! Ohio State is a poser. If they cake-walk to another title game, it will be a shame on college football. The Big-10 is so weak this year.

A win against Oklahoma would be bigger than a win against Ohio State. I like the way you left CAL out of the equation.

Oklahoma sucks. I watched the Red River Shoot Out and it is amazing how slow and lethargic those two teams are. Kansas St got beat by a terrible Kansas team. Kansas St beat Oklahoma the week before. Oklahoma is garbage.
