He appears to be very honest and never praises anyone just because of who they are.

My claim to fame was attending Len Goodmans school of Dance above the Rumpy Bar in Dartford in the mid 70's ish, where he taught me to disco dance, and he had hair then too!

It is probably because when the first few weeks are on, he is the softest. This means people think he's the nicest - but watch in the later weeks, he can be just as critical as the others ;)

He is also the oldest - not to be agest, but he has had the most experience theoretically and it would be a little wierd if he wasn't.

However i think people are overly harsh about Arlene, Craig and Bruno - yes, they tend to see the negative first, but that's what they're paid for and whilst they can be out of order they are only trying to improve the celebrities. After all, a week is not long enough to mince your words - they need to know EXACTLY what they suck at, so they can work on it immediatly.

I also don't like the audience's noise. Often, if, say, 5 is given then they roar BOO! BOOOOOOOO! But if a six is going they absoloutly scream yay. There is only one points difference people!!!

To conclude, as i have waffled and not answered your question, i don't really care....... but im glad you are a SCD watcher. Hi Five!

I like Len Goodman, he is the only judge that practices what he preaches. The other three have never competed on a dance floor, at least not in ballroom dancing.

I think Len can always be relied upon to give an honest opinion. The others, especially Craig and Arlene, try to out-do each other to see who can give the nastiest comments.

i missed that. i really like len he is always honest and likes a joke. as for the jitterbug, did you notice kenny when he was behind john totally forget the dance and do everything a beat behind everyone else. i thought the pro's dance at the beginning was absolutely brilliant. totally enthralling to watch and really made me want to join a gym and get that fit. the feeling has worn off a bit now though!!!!

He is the best one to judge the overall abilities, i.e, techinique, style and progress.
He approaches it more from the amatuers perspective, rather than the others who are more used to working with all professionals and classically trained dancers.
Yup he'll be fair.

I like him as he seems to be the only one who is fair to the contestants and understands when something goes wrong or that they are amateurs and not professionals. He gives constructive criticism too to help them while the others just seem to criticise!!
