does anyone know about this, and if it's treatable for a newborn? Does this mean she has it to? Can others be infected by her or the baby?

It isn't possible to tell if the baby has hepatitis b until it is born as delivery is usually the way the baby gets it. The only way for an unborn baby to contract hep b is from it's mother.
When a baby is born to a mother with hep b the baby is given immunoglobulin shortly after birth and the hep b vaccine and is later tested for the disease.

the mother has to have it before the baby does. if the baby is not born yet, then there is no way of knowing if it has been infected.

it is cureable, hep. c. is not

no you cannot get it by touching the baby or it breathing on you.

if your changing diapers and dont know the status of the baby then use gloves!

this is why peole need to stop being ignorant about vacinations andj ust vacinate thier child!!!!
