I eat fruitcake, and I love it. Depends on how dark it is though. I prefer the lighter ones, cause they aren't as fruity and rich tasting. But yeah, my whole family and most of my friends eat it and enjoy it.

Besides myself I would say no but it is an acquired taste and you have to have good dried fruits and pectin to male it good and most fruitcakes lack these 2 essentoal ingredients. I believe for the mosst part people take it for granted that it is a gag gift anyway but if done right the fruitcake can be a delicious and healthy way to obtain fruit in your diet .

I've tasted the fruitcake over here in the States and please forgive when I say, it's one of the nastiest things I've ever eaten.
Aussie fruitcake is different and very yummy! Ya gotta come over and try it sometime!

I'm British so I've eaten it quite a few times. Its okay but once you really star eating it, you just want to stop and start on the Birds Custard or the ice cream.

My mother used to make us eat a "no thank you helping" of anything we didn't like. I have blucky memories of yucky fruitcake...

My Grnadmother actually used to mkae some when I was little that I remember being good, mayb eit was good b/c it was "cake" lol I havent had it in recent years and dont know wnyone who likes it. i think I iwll buy one for my sister in law for xmas, y athink she will get the hint? lol

West Indian's eat a snack called Bun and Cheese... which is pretty much fruit cake with a THICK slice of cheese in the middle.... it's the NASTIEST thing EVER... but they like it..

No. It looks gross. it smells gross. My neighbor makes a bunch of different kinds of cookies at Christmas and three of them, yes THREE, are like fruit cake. They are ALL gross.
