Do people actually really hate them or is it just the internet that make people say things that are worse than what they really feel? How can someone hate a celebrity they don't know except through the tabloids and tv shows, especially when all they do is entertain and if we stop reading the tabloids or watch those tv shows they wouldn't affect our lives at all?

I think that I hate the media. Not the celebrity. Some celebrity coverage is normal. For movie premiers and what not. But now it's like every day of their lives is big news. It is unavoidable. I don't buy tabloids, or even look through them, but there they are right in the line at the grocery store when I am stuck in a line of 6. I avoid it on TV most of the time. But the worst is the Internet. You can't escape it there. It is so shoved in our faces that I think we come to resent the celeb. We are just so sick of seeing them! And hearing about their lives! Is it just me? Or does the media become worse and worse? It is one thing after another. I literally had a dream about Britney's life the other night. That is insane! That's what I don't like. . .the media. They need to give it a rest. Unless they are talking about a new movie or album I don't want to know about it.

I don't hate celebrities.
I don't think that just because a celebrity says a few lines in movie makes them an expert on matters of world affairs.
Or that they should be held up as any kind of role models when they get caught drinking and driving.
As long as their is a demand for dirt on celebrities there will be someone who will supply it.
Hence I don't watch tabloid TV or buy any tabliod mags or when it is on the news I flip the channel.

My own opinion is one can "dislike" another person you have never met if you have seen how they act towrds other people through the media without ever meeting them. Unfortunately the media will portray someone as they want. Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand are known for being two of the biggest bitches in the industry. I love Barbara and dislike Celine. I just don't like her music, etc. Just like when you go to school, a gathering, meet someone's family, you may not care for them and you don't even know them.

I don't think people hate them. Maybe envy them or tired of hearing about them. People like Toby Maguire and Ben Afleck, Cameron Daiz make me ill. Refusing autographs rudely, pictures. Don't bite the hand that feeds ya, celebs! Just goes with the terrotory!

The way the media portrays them and has them in the paper every day stirs up the hated. The likes of Amy W, Kerry K, Britney, who cares now what happens to them, bored to the back teeth of it all.

I don't hate them. I have no idea how Perez Hilton can hate celebs, I mean he only got famous for drawing "***" stains on there pictures. He thinks he's a "celeb." How can you be a celeb with no talent? The people he is making fun of are famous for a reason, whatever it may be.

I don't think people really HATE celebs, but I think some of them are annoying and people get sick of hearing about them. Also you get the celebs who are only famous for having money or because they have had sex with another celeb (Paris Hilton, Abby Titmus). Those kind of celebs are pretty hate-inducing.

I don't think that it is the ACTUAL celebrity that people hate, but what they do or who the media makes them out to be. Or pehaps they just cannot stand them. I, personally, dislike Paris Hilton. To me, she's spolied and, pardon my language, a whore. But maybe she isn't really that way. But that is how the media presents her. It all depends.

I do not go what on what others about people, if they are celebrities or not. It is just not right. It is like hearing rumors about one of your co-workers and not liking them because you based you feeling towards that person on what you heard. If a person is going to like anyone they should get to know who they are themselves before making a such a drastic decision like that.

Yes.
I hate certain celebritys because they act anoying on tv or on interviews or on youtube or they have a ugly face and they do bad acting or cant sing well or cant perform smoothly and many things are fact said about them unless youre dumb enough to be fooled.
everything is possible dont be close minded.
technically we do know, true celebritys, because im not sure theres many private moments in there lives.
