I don't think we really allow it, but life happens. One cannot rely completely on humans(friends, family, or otherwise) because humans are fallible.
When one loves deeply, heartbreak is eventually inevitable. But you either let it kill you, or you let it make you stronger and wiser. I try to opt for the latter.
Bitterness is a pointless and dangerous emotion. It hurts only us, even physically. Letting it go is the best way to get over heartbreak and move on. The best revenge to the person or people who have broken our heart is to be joyful and live fully.

I do not allow my heart to be broken. Love is an emotion and emotions are not always easy to control. Loving someone is not always a choice, it just happens. Now that I have learned some lessons, it is easier to stop my heart from being broken because I don't allow my heart to rule all on it's own. I now proceed with caution and think about things. I can still get my heart broken, but not as easily.

I believe that if you've never had your heart in pieces, then you haven't experienced true love, for in loving you should share the bad times as well. We never choose for our hearts to be broken. That's just the way we live. Life is not a problem to be solved but a mystery to be lived.

It is not 'us' that allows the heart to be broken....it is the other person's fault! They're evil and inconsiderate and have hearts of stone! That witch broke my heart! :o

We are fragile we break down very easyily and very fast.thus we say that our heart is broken.
