After 17 years of marriage I really find it hard to think in terms of things I will not tolerate. We've been through so many things that we never imagined we'd go through (family tragedies, illnesses, layoffs, career changes as well as increadibly joyous times) and we've gone through them together. She's such a great partner in life that I really can't imagine a line-in-the-sand issue that I would walk out the door because of. Infidelity isn't even a consideration unless you consider it that I wouldn't tolerate it in myself and she wouldn't tolerate it in herself.

So maybe the only thing I won't tolerate is to stop working together on life.

I'm mostly with "Information Police." Drawing a line in the sand is not making a commitment, and marriage is nothing without commitment from both parties.

However, if a man were beating me or my children, or coming home every night and terrorizing us mentally and emotionally, I would have to get out of that marriage.

Abuse of any kind and I also wouldn't tolerate an unhealthy sex life.

There's actually more than one, but at the top of the list is adultery. No excuse for that!
