I have a pair of Nine West suede knee-high boots. The heels are stiletto style, covered in suede. When I brought them out of storage for the winter season, I notice that the heel on the right shoe is messed up. The plastic/rubber part on the sole of the heel is missing, so a little metal rod is sticking out of the bottom. The suede covering of the heel is starting to come off the heel around where this part is missing. Is there any way a shoe repair person can fix my shoe? Or should I not bother to go find one.

1) look in your local yellow pages under "Shoe repair".
2) pick one of the ads listed there.
3) take your boots in and ask them.

Yes, a proficient cobbler should be able to do this. Keep in mind that if you want the heel re-covered in suede, it may cost a considerable amount.
I had a pair of leather boots with the same problem - the metal rod was showing, and the covered heel was peeling. It cost about 50 dollars to have it replaced and covered.
Weigh your options - do you like them enough to shell out the money, or would you rather put that money toward a new pair?

Dear Broken Boots,
I am sorry to say that your boots will be broken forever. The sole attached to the heel is messed up and too challenging to fix. If you are unhappy with the boot, then get your money back and buy a new pair. Next time be very precauitious when buying shoes.

Why dont you try ERD Commander 2005...You can download it for free.. It is an image of bootable CD....Download it and then burn it onto a disk....Remember do not burn it as Data Disk...You have to burn the image as it is....Then You just boot from the CD in the same way you do it... If there is some problem then clear BIOS..by removing the battery on your motherboard for 30 seconds....Try removing your RAM also.... See whether it works...
