Nobody to blame.
They had more then enough chances to win.
Any team can win on any day, Thats why they play to game.
Take the experience and learn to adapt next year.

That's all they do now is find a scapegoat and blame them for the season's loss. For example, in 2003, when Bartman made that infamous catch, he became the scapegoat for Chicago, but did it ever occur to them that if they had simply made a good play a little later in the inning, the collapse could have been avoided?
Cubs fans don't want to believe that their team is possible of making a mistake. That's why they blame whoever they can. It's time to stop feeling sorry for the Cubs and see the team as they really are.
Someone said before that it will be a shame that they won't get to see the Cubs win a World Series in their lifetime. How do you think Brewers fans feel? Some fans haven't even seen them in the playoffs in their lifetime. However, the Cubs are the bigger victims here? I don't buy it at all.
The Cubs won't have another chance at a World Series win until they stop blaming everyone else for their problems and actually take the blame themselves. Once they do that, then maybe they'll have a chance to do something worthwhile.

I do blame the fans and writers in this town. They accept mediocrity so there is no accountability to win. They fill the park regardless of winning or losing. And this embarrassing long stretch without a champion puts too much pressure on the team on the rare occasions when they do get to the playoffs. Too much negative energy surrounding the team, everyone reminds them that they're cursed, haven't won in 99 years, etc, and maybe, deep down the playewrs (and yes, management) starts to believe it. But the bottom line to all of this is that the players simply weren't good enough.

How about not blaming anybody, and instead crediting the other team for playing well? These Cubs have nothing to be ashamed of. The thing is, the Cubs rarely put together good seasons back-to-back. If they can do that, then I wouldn't put anything past them.

That just about takes care of everything. Actually, I was hoping the Cubs would take it to 5 games just to see what the new excuse would be when they choked it up.

I blame the Mets.
If they wouldn't have choked at the end, the Cubs would have never even thought they had a chance.

thats why i hate the cubs cause they get many and i mean many chances to win and still cant do it. i mean like just take a look at what division there in and yet they blame others. its just excuses they use. there is nobody to blame the only reason they dont win is because they suck.

One Cubs fan blamed me because I told them they'd get swept in the first rd. I was just kidding when I said it, but my goodness, I was right.
This particular fan put a bet in Vegas that the Cubs would win the whole thing this year. Yeah I know...wow...talk about being reckless with your money.
"It's gonna happen"...yeah it's gonna happen alright, "it" is getting swept in the first rd.

They should blame the cubs for losing, you can't blame anyone but the player's who are losing the game's.
