I was expecting my menses on 31st of last month. I postponed it by taking hormonal pills for 4 days from 24th -27th. On 28th I had intercourse, but I used barrier tablets (Contraceptives) during the act.. I haven’t got my menses till date. Could I be pregnant/ what are the possibilities? All the mothers please advice?

Yes, you could be pregnant. Of course you could be pregnant, and anyone who says otherwise (or even thinks otherwise) needs some education.

That said, you might also have just thrown yourself out of whack with the hormonal pills... the way you phrased it makes it sound like you took the pills for the purpose of stalling your period. Yikes.

There was no 31st of September, so I assume you mean the 30th of September? If you mean the 31st of August, and you haven't menstruated since then, please go and get a pregnancy test right away.

If you're only talking about the past couple of weeks, and not the past 6 weeks, it's possible you could have missed menstruating because the hormones you took have messed up your cycle just for this month, or because of stress and worry.

If I understand you rightly, you took pills for only 4 days to postpone your period, then had intercourse using pessaries that dissolve inside to somehow prevent sperm reaching the egg? If that's so, then it's possible you could be pregnant, but the only way to be sure is to take a test.

The contraceptive pill normally works well providing you take it continuously, but it sounds as though you don't. Condoms are normally pretty safe but not all barrier methods work well for everyone. In your place I would get a pregnancy test anyway, just to stop myself worrying.

Of course you could be. ANY time you have sex you risk the chance of pregnancy.

Take a pregnancy test if you are worried.

Could be stress too, or other things going on in your life.
