Umm...my library does have sofas. And it is nice to be able to sit back and be comfortable.

Would be nice. At my university we have them, all sorts. But in the city library, not sure it would work...5 stories of homeless people sleeping, but still a good idea to me. If I were in charge of the world, I would do it!

Oh yes! My library does have comfy chairs which are nice but it is a shame they don't let you eat or drink. I can't see that it would do any harm and it is terrible to get thirsty when you are studying. In fact they should have coffee machines.

My local library does have a very plush reading area with oak panneling and overstuffed leather sofas.

My library has some comfy overstuffed chairs already. Once you sit down in one of those, there's no telling when you'll be able to get up next!

Definitely but they need to educate the staff not to moan when you lie along the cushions and dangle your legs over the arm. I find its the best position to study from. Helps the blood to nourish the brain (my story and I'm sticking to it)
