Mc Hammer's song was "written" 10 years after Rick James wrote "Superfreak". Hammer openly acknowledged the fact that he sampled James' work in creating his own.
You got the whole situation backwards.

Rick James did SuperFreak in 1981. MC Hammer didn't do anything until at least ten years later.

Um, sorry you have your dates wrong. Hammer sampled James' hit song Super Freak for Can't touch this...
Edit: James released SF in '81 and Hammer released CTT in '90
