if you can copy over or erase dvd-rw so you can record different movie. please explain how to do it.

Yes they can thats why there called dvd-RW which means rewritable cd-RW's are the same

If the disk has been "finalized" you first have to undo the finalizing. Then you do a title erase. It also may be possible to just do a formatting of the disk so that whatever was on it is erased. You will need to check the software on your computer to see which one you can do.

go on the menu of your recorder using the up/down arrows go down menu and select "edit disc"it should then ask to edit or delete select delete,confirm and your disc will erase and be re-usable. hope this helps

yes. but you have to initialize the disc (at least that's what i do with my pioneer recorder). i go to disc set-up and initialize.
