Does anyone know what the term facilitator is in regards to Maria Montessori's teaching?

Overseer or monitor. Encourager of learning. Guides children to expand there minds.

There's the distinction between facilitator and teacher because a Montessori teacher is not a "teacher" in the traditional sense. The job is to oversee the environment and guide the children for them to do their own learning.

In mainstream it would be the teacher.
