I have always made time to "Stop and Smell the Roses", but the most wonderful present of all is that I have never been able to fully CAPTURE their essence (or their scent, for that matter). ... They are at once, both physically and metaphysically trans-dimensional - and I am truly grateful for that.

A rose smells so sweet ,words cannot describe the experience of sight/smell/taste/touch/ only an experience can give you feel of what it is ,so my suggestion is go to a rose garden ,do not pluck it from the branch just close your eyes and breathe the aroma and you will know how a rose smells ,but please don't tell me as i want to smell it myself where i am ....noshir

to me, it smells soft, like a whisper, and as I take it in, I feel a slight tickle behind my eyes, like if I were about to sneeze but yet instead of sneezing I get this heady buzz, the light gets a little fuzzy and when I look at the flower after taking in the scent it looks even more beautiful with the pollen enduced haze I just want to see it bloom and I will whisk it away to a remote location with some sugar water and I actually love to kiss the rose petals, they are so soft and I love to feel things with my lips, like take my lips and get within a hairs breadth of closeness and feel soft skin, or a rose, or something like that with my lips, hehe, might be crazy but it sensually is so cool...Ok, I need to go lie down, maybe one or two more questions and I am going to crash :) :)-Rachel.

Roses have a pleasing frangrance. There are many types and names of Roses. They all have a smell of there on but I have never smelt one that didn't smell nice. I have smelt a few with no frangrance. ~~~~jill
