He has scored 23 runs in four completed innings on this tour - at a strike rate that a snail would be ashamed of.

He makes an odd score against one of the minnow teams occasionally to keep his average in the 20s or low 30s.

He is an embarrassment to the Australian team.

Is he the brother in law of (selector) Merv Hughes....or are they just selecting him to keep up the Victorian status quo?

Drop him.....Pleazzzzze!!!!!

Well Australia has done a lot of persisting with apparently mediocre players and usually been rewarded in the long run. Justin Langer was one that comes to mind. But I think Brad Hodge would need a performance of some sort at some time to retain his place. Wouldn't you?

It's not like there aren't a few other good players. But are they Victorians?

(And I'm with you here - the Wallabies' constant disappointments are also from this selection policy that says in invisible ink that we must have so many Queenslanders and so many Waratahs ,, etc. We'll end up being like South Africa and including one chinese player and two greeks, four catholics and 5 protestants....)

I too feel surprised at Australia persisting with him as they have better players in the wing. I strongly feel that he will be dropped for the next match.

Perhaps like Indians, Aussie tour managers are also having regional and relationship problems ???

I guess there's no replacement in their Future Cup Series squad for him at the moment.
