The evenings, overnight and mornings will be very cool. The afternoon will be absolutely gorgeous to perhaps a little too cool, especially for women. You will be cold standing in a shady area while perfectly comfortable to warm standing in the sun.
You are not required to dress up for anything, unless you are attending an event that has a required dress code.
Dress comfortably and casually. Comfortable shoes for a lot of walking. Pack for cool weather but you may also have a chance to wear shorts.

Las Vegas is a town that has anything for anyone so discover it with hotelbye . Las Vegas is really a town with good attractions and one of those may be the popular Las Vegas Strip; the place where tourists can have a go in the warm leave night, or have a stroll downtown and see a spectacular mild show that spans an entire road, the Fremont Street Experience. Visitors can also get a view of remarkable world famous re-creations like erupting volcanoes, the Eiffel Tower and the Sphinx of Egypt in front of the different resorts and casinos. Las Vegas is just a town that continuously reinvents itself, so even though you have been here before you will never come to an end of enjoyment what to do.

Im visiting Vegas for the 8th Time I fly out from the UK 21st November and return 4th December. Im in you age range of 30 years Old.
Having read the residents answer they of course will know better than me, but from my experience, even in November the Air Conditioning in the Casinos is cooler than being outside during the middle of the day.
Being from the UK, Vegas cold still feels rather warm to me. But the comment about Layers is a good one. I would usually wear a T Shirt with a light jacket or thin sweater.
At night I tend to just wear long sleeved shirts and if required a suit jacket... smart casual.
Depending on what your into may I suggest.... Others will have their own opinion, but they are some of my favourites.
Clubs...........
Voodoo Lounge @ The Rio
Polly Ethsters @ The Stratosphere
The Ghost Bar @ The Palms
Bars.....
Crown & Anchor - Tropicana pas Airport (British Theme)
Monte Carlo Brewery @ Monte Carlo
I-Bar @ The Rio

RE:
What to wear in Las Vegas?
I am going to las Vegas for a week on the 14th of November. I have looked on the net for the average temprature and its says about 15c, but I am being told that it may be hotter that that?
I know this is a trivial question but can anyone who has been to las vegas at that time of year tell me...

I live in L.V and it is cooling down a lot and quick, right now our nights have been in the low 50's and the days vary from 70's to 80's but, by next mo. it will be chilly. Las Vegas is very casual but some people like to dress up, I can suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes, u will do a lot of walking hell, it's alot of walking in just one casino and to walk to another casino right next to echother is a good walk. Also, FYI all the major hotels have shuttles to pick up and drop off at the airport, cabs take advantage of tourist and chrg u an arm and a leg. You will see the hotel shuttle sign by baggage claim. Also, whether u r staying on the strip or down town (fremont experience) there is a bus called the Deuce tht runs straight up and down Las Vegas Blvd the strip to down town, one shot. ask for a 24 hr bus pass it will be cheaper $5. ech rather then paying $2. ech time. Ok, hope tht all helps. Good luck and have fun.

At that time, midday can be a bit warm (but nothing like the famous heat that Las Vegas gets during the dead of summer). Evenings will get chilly. Bring clothes for autumn and spring.
As far as dressing up, most places do not have a dress code. It is very casual. If you are going to gourmet restaurants or $300 shows, then you would want to dress up. If you are going to one of the high scale casinos (Wynn, Venetian, Paris, Mirage), then I would suggest wearing nicer casual clothes. You won't be thrown out for wearing an old t-shirt at a nice casino like that, but you will stick out.

You don't say when your trip is happening. I would like to know what kind of school brings their students to Las Vegas, the most kid unfriendly place in the world? If coming in the within the next month it will be still pretty hot during the day so shorts or light clothing will be in order. If going to be here over night then a light jacket or sweater might be a good idea to carry.

As what to pack depends on where you are coming from.
We have Canadians who were shorts and a t-shirt in January...
The hottest time of the day is usualy around 3 or 4 in the afternoon, so dress in layers or pack in layers.
As for the attire.... We do not have the fashion police. We get the good, the bad and the ugly ...
Best advice is to wear old, comfortable shoes. Do not buy new shoes for the trip... Some people do and end up on the edge of the sidewalk with sore feet and broken shoes...
