If you look on the back of a prescription form it tells you who is exempt, about 80% or more of the population, over 60ies, children, those with specific long term conditions like diabetes and epilepsy, those on low incomes, the pregnant who get it for a year after giving birth; not sure if I have covered everything but I remember when I did a course when I was a GP receptionist we were told that a very small percentage of the population actually paid for their prescriptions

Don't see why the Welsh should get free perscriptions when the rest of the country doesn't!

I get free prescriptions because I'm on thyroxine. When I first started taking it, the thyroxine was exempt, but I had to pay for other prescriptions. Then they changed it so people taking thyroxine get an exemption for everything - I don't think it's particularly fair, but it's good for me!

But meanwhile I'm penalised for having the misfortune of extremely poor eyesight and spend £500 pa on contacts and glasses!!

With 129 billion going to Iraq how can they afford to take care of the senior citizens in this country, you say "Freedom is free" who told you that?

Hypothyroidism skill the thyroid gland is underactive and fails to secrete sufficient hormones into the bloodstream. This reasons the guy’s metabolism to decelerate.

WOw!!
In Australia only pensioners and people with serious medical problems get reduced cost prescriptions.
An average working person pays about $33.00 per script.
When you have spent about $1,200.00 for the year, you then get them at a reduced price.
