when theres google and the rest of the net at your fingertips. would it be the different opinions and attraction of debate? but these seem to be in contrast with yahoo guidelines,anyone got a more any views on this?

I thought the whole point of this site was to give informed answers which is what I try to do (most of the time). What makes me laugh is when those questions which are more of a debate are asked, you give an opinion and someone gives a thumbs down, purely because your opinion differs from theirs. I also got a thumbs down after answering a q about the colours of lipstick I wear!! What's that all about?

Well it gives you a good feeling to know that you've helped someone out. And there's enough debate in the real world, I'd like to ask a question without all the opposing opinions and debate.

Sometimes it helps to know that you are talking to a real person about the question, then just getting it from a website.
It's like going to a library and looking up WWII, and going to ask somebody who was actually there.
