We saw people doing that over the weekend. Their boats name was NAKED ****

They actually fished for 6 hours. What was really sad is that we just got use to them and kind of forgot they were naked. That's just wierd.

I would say "I DOUBT IT" because boating rules and regs fall into basically the same as automotive, so is it legal to drive down the highway naked, NO.
It's called indecent exposure in most states. But if no one see's them I guess it's not illegal, huh?
You have to get caught to get punished.

capitalg answered perfectly. The worst that will happen is someone will ask you to cover up - which has happened to me - but if the police actually do come they'll just ask you to cover up too, and nothing more. There is a nude beach in Vancouver and Toronto, and Canadians take it all off in hotsprings and secluded lakes all the time, but if there are other people around it's possible that someone might not like it, so best to check with locals first or just observe what other people are doing, or just cover up to show respect for other people's modesty if other people are around. It's definitely true that not everyone approves of skinnydipping.

All state laws would apply to the state it was registered in. Even tho its not a bad idea, it would apply as if they were downtown in a city. So it seems it was very illegal. Not that I'm against nude folks fishing, but the lake issue would apply as a public park. Therefore, minors are allowed there, making adult activities illegal, unless in a designated area. End of story. Hope they had allot of suntan lotion!

Haha--that's kinda funny. Obviously they weren't trying to hide it--lol. As far as legally, I have no idea--I guess the only issue being out in the water away from the immediate public would be families that passed by them--families with small children, that is. Then, maybe not too cool, but I'm sure they really weren't huting anyone. That takes gutz--I couldn't do it--lol.

My guess is yes, it is illegal, but trying to get the cops out for it would probably be near impossible unless they were doing something more than just being nude.

I've done it in Jamaica a few times, and it's fun to do. Just need lots of sunscreen.

There is no federal public nudity law, therefore coast guard does not prohibit nudity on boats.

for state law check http://www.nudistlaw.com/state_laws.htm

notice quite a few states you must be lewdly displaying the genitals or displaying them for sexual arousal, in which fishing is neither.

of course you have to abide by all fishing regulations too, ie have licenses

There are people who do drive around in cars naked, from the waste down. If they can't be seen there is no
problem.
It's just another way of playing chicken.

We have seen it on several lakes in that area. Were they really fishing?
