All roller covers (NAPS) can be used for paint.

Depending on the finish you want; they each perform differently. The longer the NAP (Acrylic fiber or WOOL; etc.) the more paint it will take to LOAD the roller, and the more defined the texture will be.

The shorter the nap; the smoother the finish texture; but the more often you'll have to LOAD the roller.

I use foam covers for the smoother finishes I want to achieve; IE: Commercial doors; etc.

A paint roller is a paint application tool used for painting large flat surfaces rapidly and efficiently. A good roller holds the arm in position.
