well tendulkar still thinks he is a star.. but he not a star anymore...and he always thinks about his previous performances and records.. while ponting always concentrate on the day he is playing the game and he adjusts himself according to sitituation.. ponting is far more better than tendulkar no doubt he is is No. 1 batsman in ICC Rankings in both forms of games bcoz he delivers... as sachin is not even top ten in both forms of game...so forget about him... he is past now and he better retire now before he is kicked out of the side....its time for younger players now like Yuvraj and gambhir to take over sachin's & ganguly's place..

Your comparison is not correct.
If you want to compare their batting averages, you take the present average of Ponting and the average of Sachin when he has completed equal no: of matches to that of Ponting.
Otherwise you have to wait until Ponting reaches the no: of matches , Sachin has played. Then only your comparison will be fair.! You must remember that Sachin has crossed his Prime days now, even though he was
talked along with the Greatest ever
Don Bradman..!!!
You must remember that he gave up captaincy, because he could not concentrate on batting He was never mentioned as a good captain.!!!

Well he's not. He's not a leader - he was tried as that and failed dismally. He's too emotional and relies too much on feeling good to score runs.
It's like comparing Brian Lara or Mark Waugh to Ponting or Steve Waugh. They're all great batsmen but well ... It's a thing called determination!
As for the crap below about racist island: In a previous posting I pointed out that Dravid and Gavaskar both shared the qualities of Ponting. The ability to score runs when it really counted. That comment is the usual rubbish from those who struggle for facts - and is incredibly offensive and, well, racist. If you want intelligent discussion lay off the insults.

I'm not from a racist island okay. I'm a New Dehli college student & thinks Captain Pointing is garbage. This yellow troll never scores as mush like Sachin. Sachin is & will always be better than Captain pointing. Sachin is far better, there is no comparsion to this ......
