Why is the mumerical order on calculators and telephones reversed?

I'm sorry, I meant to say "numerical". I want to thank "Stupid Girl" for brining this error to my attention.

Good question! I seem to recall someone saying it goes back to when people were expected to use10-key calculators very quickly. The lay-out of the numbers in that order is supposed to facilitate that. Can't swear to it, but it seems I heard that somewhere.

to help prevent carpal tunnel... and because the alphabet corresponds with numbers on the telephone keypad...

Do we care its mind control dont let it get to you,they all have 3 letters of the alphabet beneath them too we all know 1 is a not 2............................
