Oh, you mean gasoline. Right? Or are we talking fossil fuels in general?
What can I say? You are MOST welcome to bicycle to all those jobs that don't use fossil fuel electricity.
Except you will have to walk to work because fossil fuels were used to make your bike. Actually, walk to work barefoot, cause you're wearing fossil fuel shoes too.
You could telecommute if you computer wasn't made & run using fossile fuels.
Could we live with out gas? Sure, most animals do.
But if you belive living like an animal is BETTER, it is probably because you have never done so.

that's why we have science!
there are so many alternatives for gas like water, right? there were inventors/scientists that can use water in vehicles or water as an energy source. no doubt, even without oil we can live. but i believe this will not happen coz the world oil industry will fall. that's why the ingenious works of the scientists were never produced for sale. nations in oil industry, especially the US which has control over the oil producing countries wouldn't allow this to happen. ^_^

Well, humans lived in civilizations long before anyone used petroleum. I think they could probably continue without it. There are alternatives. It would be an enormous change which some people would not survive, but it wouldn't eliminate human civilization...
though for some folks death is preferable to change.

It seems like people did years ago. So I guess it would be hard but we are strong people and we would find ways around it. Gas isn't what keeps us alive.
