I found gum on the carpet mat in my car. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get gum off carpet.

Ice; keep rubbing the ice over the gum until it completely hardens... Then you will be able to pull it off in one big chunck.

God bless!

Use an ice cube and freeze and scrape off as much as possible using a butter knife. Take peanut butter and work it into the mat and scrape with the butter knife until it's gone. Rub Dawn dishwashing liquid on the mats and scrub until the peanut butter is gone. Go to a car wash and hang the mats up and spray them down.

Rub an ice cube over the gum to freeze it, then shatter the gum and vacuum it up.
If you think ice wont work...WD40 definately will take it right off. Soak with WD-40 and rub with a cloth. This may take a couple of applications depending on how much gum. The WD-40 breaks down the gum. Then clean the area with a dab of soap and water and it'll be as good as new.

If you don't have WD40, try rubbing peanut butter on the gum. The oils in the peanut butter will allow you to remove the gum from the fibers. Then wash away the peanut butter and you are good to go!

GooGone. It can be purchased at Walmart and most grocery stores. It removes almost anything sticky. This stuff is amazing.

Ice. Freeze it until you can scrape it off and freeze it some more until it's all off. Wish they would ban gum!!!
