how to learn the craft of stage assistant director ?

Watch, learn, and do as your told or asked. Go to the nearest community theatre and volunteer your services. Assisting the director is not generrally too hard a task, but there can be a lot involved and if the director depends on you for anything you better be on top if it. Have a script, take good notes (in pencil), and be ready, willing, and able to do anything that needs to be done.

Shut Up, Listen, be industrious, don't choose sides in a brawl, watch the director carefully, coddle the actors & actresses without making it too obvious be equally concientious of the crew & technical staff, and above all never admit you know absolutely nothing unless you are pretty have a vagina and large breasts and pouty lips.

Find some one that holds courses in that subject and atend to one. Then you need practice in the craft plus connections with the right people. Johan
