Yes, I have.
She passed away in June (86 years old) but I was able to tell her that I love her and that I'm going back to college and working on a nursing degree (she was a nurse from 1942 to 1947)
The present I gave her for her 80th birthday was her favorite one ever. I wore a full beard for about 16 years and she kept telling me that she wanted to see my face, so I got a good haircut and shaved before her party.
The look of surprise and her smile were priceless.
