I had a heart attack in May 2006, but was lucky (1 in three h/a victims don't even make it to the hospital), and I'm still here. That day the Grim Reaper called for me, but when he looked in his book, my name didn't appear, so he went away. I don't live with the thought that he's looking over my shoulder, but I also know that one day he'll call again, and this time successfully.

Yes ! I was in a realllly bad car accident in my early 20's I was in a car with a drunk driver on the highway he lost control of the car when the door popped open and he fell out I had my seatbelt on but I couldn't reach the brake so I had to remove it . I reach for the brake with my left leg when the car hit some gravel it started to fish tail then came back over to the centre line and hit the wall. The car started to flip over and over with me in it. I don't remember much after that just an ambulance and police and some guy who pulled me from the car but my leg was wrapped around the steering wheel so I had to grab my foot and untangle it before he could get me out!! The radio reported that I had died {Good reporting} Without getting into to much about my injuries lets just say my Dad came to see me and told me I'm sooo lucky to be alive there's nothing left of the car! I spent a year in and out of the hospital with a body cast !! It's good to keep a sense of humour at these times which I found I have a lot of!! For instants......I was home with my body cast it was like being a human log and I saw the coffee table was dirty and I just wanted to clean it so I grabbed my crutches and got a wet cloth I couldn'r reach it you have to be able to bend to reach it but I was determined but I slipped and let out a small scream my hubby came running thinking the worst only to find me rocking on the table and I couldn't get up!! I was yelling at him to help me up but we were laughing so hard my ribs were hurting!! What I learned from all that is when your time is up your time is up and there's not much else you can do but enjoy the time you have no matter what!!! So I say to you grim reaper catch me if you can I won't go without a fight!! The reaper has taken my family away except my sister who I love dearly I have seen his work my Brother who was a big strong fireman died of a heart attack same with my Dad then my Mom who suffered through strokes until he finally took her { Man I hate that reaper} so anyway I could be next at anytime but I won't go quietly !! OH! You really got me going with this one!! As the song goes Don't Worry Be Happy!!

no.
no.
no.
But films like Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze ,and some other films where they show things like the Reaper etc. really scares me.
I think one day I actually dreamt of the Reaper and although it didn't do anything to me [in my dream] I was terrified.Haha.

When I was 18months old I had pneumonia and nearly died. Was in an oxygen tent for 3 weeks, but I don't remember it. I stared death in the face when I found my partner dead still reliving it now.

Are you okay?

:-)))
