Want to try and have a baby with a friend, but no sex involved. This has been in discussion for 3 years and now is the time to do it. I just want to know if anybody else has tried this at home without the need for clinics and doctors. If all else fails, thats the route we will take!

I assume from your language that you are in UK. In the US, if you are a single woman, you must go through a sperm bank or the guy continues to have liability to support the child. I would contact a solicitor and find out what exactly is legal in UK before going further. I do know a woman who did artificial insemination at home, but she did use a sperm bank. They sent her the sample at the time she requested, used a syringe (without needle) to insert and she had a baby girl a couple of months ago. If a woman is married, this is a nonproblem because state law (in all states) makes the husband automatically the legal father. Some couples do go this way because (a) they can actually judge the person by their personality as well as health risks and (b) so that the child can contact him as an adult. Friend or stranger? I would go with the friend, personally. It is absolutely true that personality traits are inherited and clearly, if this person is a friend, they have traits that you do appreciate.

If you are impotent and also efforts to make you fertile like improvement of sperm count etc failed,then you can try this.Using a friend's sperms may create problems later.It is better to get sperms from a sperm bank which will keep identity of the donor'secret".
If you still want your friend's sperm to produce a baby you get the help of a clinic and they will do hygenically this work for you.
Since you donot want secrecy,why not allow him to do it for you and save cost?I know many persons who did it.
If you want to do it home, collect the fluid from your friend in a test tube.Then using a pippet or glass tube deposit the fluid deep in to womb.It should be done as fast as possible.All items used should be disinfected and clean.Good Luck

Well I honestly have never heard of something like that done and it being successful. I read a couple of the answers and some suggested using a syringe (of course without the needle), I guess you won't lose anything in trying. It must be difficult wanting to have a baby and not being able because of financial issues.

use a turkey baster, get your friend to do his stuff in to a cup , then use a turkey baster ( which is basically the same as a syringe just without a needle) and i think you can work the rest out, good luck.

Basically, you need something like a syringe (without the needle).
Get your friend to leave his 'deposit' in the syringe then use this to apply it to yourself.
The chances of you getting pregnant are higher if you are excited.
Remember you don't have long between the sperm being evacuated and being used - the fresher the better.
