I have two HP6500 wifi enabled bluetooth laptops and a NETGEAR 54 mbps router, wanna connect two laptops?

any one can plz tell me the step by step procedure to connect my two laptops with this router? a helpful answer will be really awarded.

Ok, this is not hard to do. You will be using the wifi device and not the bluetooth device in your laptops to connect to the router.

First thing to do is to setup the router. Im guessing you also want to share an internet connection. If not skip part 1 and go directly to part 2.

Part 1
-Connect cable from wall or phone line to the Broadband Modem.
-Connect ethernet cable from Broadband Modem to the WAN (Internet) port of the router.

Part 2
-Connect a ethernet cable from your laptop to the router (This is done only to setup the router. After setup is done you will beable to use the wireless for the two laptops.)
- Follow the Installation Instructions that came with your router to setup the router for wireless. DO not enable security until after you get everything working.

Part 3
-Disconnect the laptop from the ethernet cxable connected to the router.
-Turn on the wireless devices for the two laptops and you should connect to the router and beable to surf the internet.

Part 4
-Now to setup a wireless network you should run the wireless network wizard located in the control panel of both laptops.

True speed of these cards would be a factor of 8 ie you have to divide the speeds by 8. So the 54 mbps should offer 6.75 on LAN. The 108 should offer 13.5mbps.The internet speed depends on the traffic in your network.
