I don't have a favourite one. But I liked that one in Germany where he sang 'wooden heart'.
I never really got into Elvis because he and my young brother could have passed for twins and that was just toooo freaky for me.
How can you fancy someone who is a dead ringer for your brother bbrrr!!! LOL

His earliest movies were his best, and even he agreed with
that. The older ones that were so similar in plot were some
he was almost ashamed of. But the Colonel told him what and
where, so he was under contract to do as the Colonel wanted.
The Colonel was merely after that almighty dollar and didn't have Elvis wants at heart. He had been a carnival barker and
had that mentality through his career. Had Elvis been given greater scrips after his first few movies, he'd have become a much more respected actor than he was.
As for acting ability, I liked King Creole. Although his
female co star, Carolyn Jones was far too old for him. But she was playing an older women to begin with. The
young girl who was stuck on him, Delores Hart, was hung up
on him in real life too. But wasn't any girl? She went to a few
of his house parties, but I don't think she fitted in. She was
as nice a girl in real life, as she played on screen. She became a nun in real life when she wasn't much older. Some
say it was due to her love for Elvis that was one sided. And
he thought of her as the girl next door.

His first one (and there goes the CRS again I can't remember the title) the only one where they allowed him to act a little bit... you know the one that had "Love Me Tender" in it. I'll never forget going to see it with my sister (a year older than me) and her crying her eyes out when he was killed at the end.
I have seen all of them but have always wished that he had been allowed to play some real parts.

I loved all his movies and songs, but my favorite was, "Speedway". I've always been a car racing fan, throw in Elvis and a few songs and it's pure magic.

I loved most of them... this question reminded me of the time when they shown quite a lot of his films at christmas time in the year he died...my daughter who was then about 7 fell madly in love with him, lol, she was distraught when we had to tell her he had died....I was amazed a 7yr old would get such a crush at an early age lol

Flaming Star, I think that was the name of it. He was a hunk back then and took him so long to expire when he got shot, very dramatic!!
