I always use..."Sucks to be you, Sir..."

But that doesn't seem to work very well...lol...

"In Your Dreams, Sir..." would certainly not placate a customer, but likely make them more irate.

"You know, that's a good suggestion, and I'd like to show it to my supervisor. Would you mind writing it down so it can be reviewed by our management committee? You've spent so much time already, but I'm sure it won't take but a bit more and you're really being so helpful."

my favorite was always (and say it with a smile because the caller can hear your smile-how many times have you heard that one)-"Yeah, in a perfect world....."

Can I please have your number? I love pretending that people care about my problems. God, I would be so excited if someone talked to me like that. People are so boring and fake-nice and I would heartily welcome the change of pace.

you obviously mistake me for someone who cares...

the number you reached is no longer in service, if you feel you have reached this recording in error, please hang up and try again. (repeat as necessary) only works if you have caller id info on the caller...
