Why/why not?
(e.g If someone in a hideous outfit asked how they looked would you say "Yeah it looks great!" or do you speak frankly and tell the truth?)

It depends on the circumstances but I find myself being frank a lot (landed me in trouble a lot) and what the hey, it may get me in trouble but also makes life easier from time to time.

I am more frank than many people I know. I use to not be this way I use to be very nice and always say what I thought would make the person fell good. Now I don't. This is because if someone looks bad in a yellow dress, I say something like "you know yellow is not your best color, but green would really bring out your eyes". I have even been known to tell some people who stupid they were by doing something. Then I tell them it's not the end of the world but this needs to be fixed. So yes I am more frank, that's why some of my friends love me. They know I will always say the truth as I see it and back it up with examples or proof. I don't do it to be mean but I am so sick of everyone kissing everyone’s butt all the time. The best people you will ever know and the ones you will respect in life will be the ones who are honest, yet do so in a nice way, even though it will still hurt someone it is better to hurt them for 5 minutes than to allow them to mess up or do something that could have long lasting negative effects on their life. =)

No i often beat around the bush and tell people what they want to hear. I have already gotten into way too much trouble before for being brutally honest.
