I am planning on learning to play an instrument. I would like to know if learning the piano is easier to learn than the guitar.

It's really hard to say as I don't really play piano. They are both different in their own way. The good news is if you eventually want to learn both, the music theory stays the same! You just have to learn the technical skill of actually playing each instrument.

If you're wanting to pick one to learn on, then picking the instrument that you want to learn the most is the best choice. Ask yourself what kind of music you'd like to play or write and it should lead you to which instrument you want to learn.

I learn the guitar first so therefore piano is hard on me.

But my friend said piano is easier to learn but she is having a hard time learning the guitar.

Then our teacher said, they are the same, what's the problem?

I guess it's your choice - which ever you really want to learn first. doesn't matter - just practice a lot.

I've heard that piano is easier to play but it's harder to play well than a guitar is.
