I don't say so, but the French call an orgasm, 'Le petit mort', the little death. So one must be extremely careful about dying a little to yourself and the other person. If the two are totally committed it works otherwise it just tears at you.

Just like suicide - Chris Cornell
Yeah I'm trying to understand why "she lived like a murder" but "died like suicide".
It must be because it's exciting to be in a relationship when you can have something big to focus on but when it's over, it's personal. It's dead, its boring. You're wondering why you got in it in the first place. You blame yourself for loving her, which almost kills you. Love is like suicide.

I saw Chris Cornell in concert in June. I think he got that one wrong though (actually, for all I know he didn't even write the lyrics). I think self-love and the love you have for others can be beneficial, emotionally and mentally, and some form of love is essential for a healthy person. It can be painful at times, but I think the good outweighs the bad, overall.

I hadn't heard this before but I can't agree. Love heals. When you are able to love your self as much as you are able to love any other, you become excited about sharing it with your world and everyone in it. You want to teach it to those in despair. You want to be 'living' proof that it CAN work.
