so i got this router so i can get our ps3 and xbox360 online.

so i follow the instructions hooking it up to our computer and modem and the test all passed...yet it still cant get online with the ps3 and xbox.

the xbox has a wireless adapter on it while the ps3 has an internal card in it.

whats going on? i tend to get frustrated when i buy things and they dont work properly!

Did you purchase the separate wireless adapter for your Xbox?
The wireless that the Xbox 360 uses for it's controllers, does not work for Internet access. You need the separate wireless adapter they sell for it too.

are you typing in the network key (also called wep or ssid) into the xbox / ps3 if not (or you are not able to) you may need to make the router an open / unprotected network

Well thats what the settings are there for, to make changes. Not any network setup, especially on a console, is going to be plug and play. Manuals, manuals, manuals. I guess they are a waste since no one reads them.....
